On the day police released a report about a woman gone missing, I collected the information on the case, and wrote this article. I provided quotes from family and friends, and inserted pictures for those aiding in the search.
In this article, I explained the upcoming Maryland tax-free week. I describe what items are eligible for the discount, and which are not. I also briefly mention how Virginia and Washington D.C., don’t have a holiday similar, with VA just recently discontinuing the holiday in 2023.
The 2022 Midterms brought an important election to Loudoun County. I interviewed some of the candidates on the ballot, and asked them why Loudoun County should vote for them.
I got to learn more about On The Bright Sight, a charity aiming to provide prescription glasses to those who can’t afford them or may not have access to an optometrist. High school students, Ria and Siya Kaith, created the charity. It was fascinating to hear what they have accomplished at such a young age!
During a School Board meeting, students came to protest LGBTQ+ rights. I wrote this article while the School Board meeting was in progress.

Virginia takes first place in the country for the worst percentage of children who age out of foster care without being adopted. Teenagers account for less than 10% of all adoptions, leaving many older foster care and orphanage children without a home or family, leaving them vulnerable as they enter adulthood. It’s so exciting to hear that community members and educator advocates, Elizabeth Whitley and Tori Truesdale, have created the “LCPS Challenge” to reward our Loudoun County school employees for their dedication to our kids. The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors were considering a rule change regarding non-English speakers time allowances while giving input during their meetings. Many Loudoun County residents spoke at the pubic hearing declaring their stance on the potential rule change.
